The Dusty Outpost
I live in an area called Three Trails Crossing, because the Santa Fe, The Oregon, and The California trails all intersect here, just south of modern Kansas City. We had outposts and trading stations for the travelers, and the Pony Express. This has been trotting through my conscience lately. The image is a compilation of several images, and the building is frankly just smashed together from several sources and doesn’t exist in the real world. I can put custom lettering onto those crescent-shaped signs over the stable doors if the stable in your story has a name. It will be tiny, but personal.
